The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced that the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to American Professor Pierre Agostini, German Professor Ferenc Krausz and Swedish Professor Anne L' Huillier for their contributions to "an experimental method for generating attosecond light pulses to study the dynamics of electrons in matter", at around 17:50 GMT.
